From New Delhi to Canada, the Melody Lives On: Gurugram Celebrates Dharmendra at Eternal Oasis Gurugram, 6th June: The musical tribute “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehte Ho… Dharmendra”, dedicated to the He-Man of Hindi cinema, Dharmendra, was successfully staged on June 6, 2026, at Eternal Oasis, Gurugram. Presented by Three Arts Club and Katyayani, the show received an overwhelming response and enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.

Writer-director Nidhikant Pandey beautifully wove together memorable episodes from Dharmendra’s life, from his childhood in Punjab and his journey from a modest family background to becoming one of Indian cinema’s most beloved stars. Through engaging narration, the presentation highlighted his struggles, remarkable success, strong family values and humane qualities. Anecdotes from his illustrious film career transported the audience back to the golden era of Hindi cinema.

Eternal Oasis, the venue for the event, is a centre for art, culture and spirituality located on Golf Course Road, Gurugram. Since commencing operations in March 2025, it has hosted over 60 programmes spanning music, theatre, dance, poetry, meditation, storytelling, wellness and spiritual practices. The centre continues to establish itself as a distinctive destination for creativity, mindfulness, culture and community engagement in the Gurugram.

Commenting on the event, Umesh Mathur, Founder of Eternal Oasis, said, “Dharmendra’s journey is one of resilience, humility and enduring excellence, making him a figure who continues to inspire audiences across generations. We are delighted to have hosted this heartfelt tribute at Eternal Oasis.’’

Adding a musical dimension to this emotional journey, Akashvani ‘A’ Grade singer Devanand Jha rendered a series of Dharmendra’s most popular songs. Each performance was met with thunderous applause, with the audience expressing their appreciation and enthusiasm throughout the evening. Adhir Das on tabla and Jeetu Nadaan on keyboard further enriched the programme with their soulful musical accompaniment.

For a few special numbers, Nidhikant Pandey joined Devanand Jha on stage. Their renditions of “Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Todenge…” and “Saat Ajoobe Is Duniya Mein, Aathvi Apni Jodi…” created an electrifying atmosphere, with audience members swaying along from their seats. Their on-stage camaraderie and engaging interaction added a unique charm to the evening.

Producer Sohaila Kapur also joined Devanand Jha from among the audience for two songs, a gesture that was warmly received and greatly appreciated.

It is noteworthy that the programme was first staged on December 2, 2025, at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. It was subsequently presented in Mississauga, Canada, in January 2026 under the same title. There too, Nidhikant Pandey’s original script and carefully selected songs were brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Three Arts Club and Katyayani, earning widespread appreciation. The Gurugram presentation marked yet another successful chapter in this continuing journey.

The programme was produced by Anuradha Dar and Sohaila Kapur. Lighting design was handled by Burhan Qureshi. Special support in making the event a success came from Niharika Mathur and the Eternal Oasis team. The evening concluded with a standing ovation, as the audience expressed their love and admiration for Dharmendra through prolonged applause. Their enthusiastic response once again affirmed that Dharmendra is not merely a film star, but an artist whose work and personality continue to resonate across generations and live on in millions of hearts.
