DPIAF Kolkata 2026: Tirath Singh Rawat and Ashok Kirtania Felicitate Bhojpuri Film Promoter Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala

Kolkata, 19 September 2026 – In a grand ceremony held today at the National Library Auditorium, Alipore, Kolkata, well-known Bollywood and Bhojpuri film publicist and film producer Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala was honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Kolkata 2026.

The award was presented by former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and senior BJP leader Tirath Singh Rawat and West Bengal Minister of Food & Supplies Ashok Kirtania. The event was organized by DPIAF – Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Organisation (NGO) Founder Chairman Kalyanji Jana, with the theme “Celebrating Cinema | Culture | Tourism”.

On this occasion, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said: “The hard work done by Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala for the promotion of Bhojpuri and Bollywood cinema is highly commendable. I heartily congratulate him for this honour. My best wishes are that you move further ahead, achieve great success and bring glory to the nation. Such youth will take our cinema and culture forward.”

West Bengal Minister Ashok Kirtania said: “We are very happy to honour a hardworking film producer and publicist like Sanjay on this land of Kolkata. Bengal has always been the centre of art and cinema. Sanjay’s work is appreciable and we want him to do bigger work taking Bengal and Bhojpuri cinema together.”

After receiving the honour, Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala said: “I express my heartfelt gratitude to DPIAF, Kalyanji Jana, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and Minister Ashok Kirtania. This award is not just mine, but an honour for the entire Bhojpuri and Bollywood film industry. I have been associated with film publicity and production for many years, and this award increases my responsibility even more. I promise that I will continue to make good and cultured films and bring glory to the country and my soil.”

It is to be noted that Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala has been associated with the publicity and promotion of about 1200 films so far. Along with this, he has also produced and directed many films and video albums. Originally a resident of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala is also associated with social work. He is the Founder of Bhushan Family Foundation, which continues to do social work in different states across India.

Sanjay Bhushan Patiyala has been associated with films of big stars like Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Pawan Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, Pakkhi Hegde, and Rani Chatterjee.
