‘Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri’ Actor Akash Jagga Reveals His Passion for Writing

Words hold the power to heal, inspire, and create new worlds. For actor Akash Jagga, who plays Kundan in Sun Neo’s show Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, writing is not just a pastime but a lifelong passion that complements his love for acting. Recently, Akash shared how deeply writing has shaped his creative journey.

A Journey That Began in School

“I started writing back in school, around the eighth or ninth standard,” Akash recalls. “I used to write short stories, design covers for them, and make small collections. Later, with academics and theatre performances, writing took a backseat. Even after I moved to Mumbai, I didn’t write for a few years. But eventually, I returned to it. Though I haven’t commercialized my work yet, I do have projects ready. I’m not sure when or how I’ll release them, but I know someday I will.”

Writing as a Source of Joy

Sharing the best advice he ever received, Akash says, “Raghuvir Sir once told me, ‘Keep writing.’ It’s simple, but so powerful—the more you write, the more you grow. Writing gives me a joy that’s very personal, a creative high that’s different from acting. Acting excites me because I get to live different characters, but writing makes me feel alive—it lets me create entire worlds of my own. I want to continue both and, someday, share my writing with the world.”
