Actress Shares Her Experience Working with Prabhu Deva and Himesh Reshammiya
Actress Shivangi Verma, who makes a cameo appearance in Badass Ravi Kumar alongside Prabhu Deva, is thrilled about being part of the project. Despite her role being brief, she cherishes the opportunity to work with industry icons.
“I’m Opposite Prabhu Deva, Playing His Girlfriend”
Shivangi reveals, “It’s a tiny role, but I said yes because it’s a Himesh Reshammiya project—my second collaboration with him. My scene was shot in Muscat, Oman, and the audience is loving it!”
A Special Bond with Himesh Reshammiya
Reflecting on her collaboration, she says, “Honestly, the only reason I said yes to this film was Himesh Reshammiya. I’ve always been a fan, and working with him again makes it even more special. His energy, vision, and passion are unmatched.”
Interestingly, the song ‘Tere Pyar Mein’ from Suroor 2021, which Shivangi did with Himesh, is featured in the movie. “The twist? This time, he’s performing it with another heroine. But the song’s magic remains the same—I know the audience will go WOW when they see it on the big screen,” she adds.
“Badass Ravi Kumar Is Full of Life and Energy!”
Shivangi describes Badass Ravi Kumar as a high-energy, entertaining film typical of Himesh Reshammiya’s signature style. “With his vision, nothing can go wrong. The audience is in for a ride they’ll never forget!” she asserts.
From Mumbai to Muscat: A Memorable Journey
Talking about the shoot, Shivangi recalls, “The journey from Mumbai to Muscat was smooth. My first day involved costume trials, and seeing the same team from my first album with Himesh made me feel at home.”
Meeting the Legend: Prabhu Deva
“The next day on set, I met Prabhu Deva. Despite being a legend, he was unbelievably friendly and down-to-earth. There was no attitude—just pure passion for his craft,” Shivangi shares.
She also expresses admiration for Sonia Reshammiya, Himesh’s wife. “Her presence makes everything feel special. I always tell her this,” Shivangi says warmly.
A One-Take Wonder!
“When I rehearsed my shot, everything clicked. And when the cameras rolled—it was a one-take shot! Everyone appreciated it,” she recalls with pride.
“Jumping from a Mountain Gave Me Goosebumps!”
When asked about the most exciting part of her role, Shivangi says, “It was definitely my stunt scene. I was in a harness, had to jump from a bike, deliver dialogues in a panic situation, and then—cut to—I jumped from a mountain! Seeing it on screen gave me goosebumps.”
Upcoming Projects: “Fingers Crossed!”
Looking ahead, Shivangi reveals she’s already shooting for another film opposite veteran actor Govind Namdev. “I’m about to finish my third schedule. Fingers crossed—hoping for the best. God is kind,” she concludes with optimism.
