“September 21” Gears Up for Kannada Release on May 29; Hindi Version Sees Encouraging Start

Bengaluru, 28 May 2026 — Helmed by 22-year-old director  Karen Kshiti Suvarna, the multi-lingual drama _September 21_ is set to release in Kannada on 29 May 2026, following an encouraging response to its Hindi version.

The film features a powerful ensemble cast led by Priyanka Upendra, alongside Pravin Singh Sisodia, veteran actress Zarina Wahab, and Amit Behl. September 21 marks one of the youngest directorial debuts in recent Kannada cinema, with Suvarna bringing a fresh narrative voice to the screen.

The Hindi version of September 21 was released on 22 May 2026 and has seen strong early traction. It registered ₹25.50 lakh from paid premieres and collected an additional ₹10 lakh from the Hindi-speaking belt, taking its total pre-release Hindi collection to ₹35.50 lakh.

Industry trackers note that the film has benefited from positive word of mouth, particularly for its performances and grounded storytelling. The early Hindi numbers indicate healthy audience interest ahead of the film’s wider Kannada rollout.
