After a court marriage, astrologer Rinhee Suberwal, who is also a choreographer as well as a past life regression therapist, vaastu consultant, numerologist and crystal healer, got hitched in traditional set-up recently. The actress says that the rituals were truly magical.
“When I got married for the first time, it was a court marriage—a simple registration process. It felt good knowing that we were coming together and starting a new life. But honestly, traditional wedding rituals have a completely different level of divine purity. They bring a sense of oneness that I didn’t feel during the court marriage. When we finally performed the rituals, I felt extremely excited and truly complete. It felt as if we were actually getting married for the first time,” she says.
Talking about the wedding rituals, she says, “We planned the wedding in a proper Rajwada style. Rajwada was the theme, and my masi and mama performed all my wedding rituals along with my mama and a close business associate. My very close friends, who have been connected with me for a long time, also attended. They all travelled from different places like Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and many other cities to be part of the celebration. It was an overwhelming feeling, meeting so many friends after such a long time.”
She adds, “We chose Udaipur as our wedding venue because, as I mentioned earlier, “Ud” means rise—symbolizing the rise of me and my husband as a couple. It represents our journey towards a prosperous and abundant future with our family. The name itself aligned perfectly with the manifestation and intention I wanted to set for our future together.”
The guest-list was quite the star-studded one, says the actress. “It was a celebrity decked up event of course Jayati maasi is an in-house celebrity for me. We had Nikitin Dheer there because we had previously organized the Yuva Icon Awards with him, and he was our chief guest. Along with him, there was My Masi and My nani, who is also a Padmashri-nominee. Many dignitaries and even some foreigners attended the wedding. They found it very unique and different from what they had seen before. The way we conducted the entire ceremony was truly special and stood out from the usual weddings,” she says.
She adds, “My dance team, RDC, performed at the wedding. I have a dance school, so my team performed along with my husband and me. We also put on a special performance for our family and all the guests who attended. It was a job well done by my team members and everyone who helped me organize the event. My mother, massi, and mama were the backbone of the event. We missed Pramod’s family and my father because he is a Chief Engineer in the merchant navy and is often away at sea. As for my husband’s family, one of Pramod’s elder sisters has a health condition, which made it difficult for his parents to travel. That’s why they couldn’t attend. But their blessings and support were always with us.”
Talking about her husband Parmod Kumar who is a choreographer and healer too , she says she could not have asked for a better life partner, “The best part about my husband is the positive impact he has on people. He is very understanding, patient, and incredibly accommodating. That’s what I love about him. He loves my family and has adjusted so well with them. Since his parents live in Ranchi, he has chosen to stay with my parents, and he has embraced the entire family with so much love and warmth. It’s truly amazing. Our family is very modern, and we don’t believe in the traditional concept of treating a ghar jamai differently. For us, it’s simple—both partners are working, so why not stay with the family and manage things together? What truly matters is understanding and accepting each other’s family. That, for me as an individual, is very reassuring and meaningful.”
