What has PM Modi done for his Nari Parivar – Women Family Members?
Recently the Opposition Leaders especially from Congress tried to insult PM Modi by asking him “Where is your family?” – Little knowing that the entire country of 1.4 billion people are indeed his family.
Today I will speak about Modi ji’s women family members that are 70 crore in the country. PM Modi always add a lofty and a noble vision for women in his own words it is a ‘VIRAT VISION’.
· He envisioned a women led nation “Women sitting at the steering wheel of the Country”
· He dreamt of Rural Women becoming Millionaires.
· His vision to care of and protect women had a road map from womb (female foetus) to an octogenarian – entire spectrum
· His policies were Virat; comprehensive; end to end; 360 degree approach to highest quality of life.
Let me explain
We know what has been done in the last 9 years.
· 11 crore toilets constructed.
· 10 crore LPG connections given.
· 60% of Jan Dhan Accounts have been held by Women.
· 20 crore women received over Rs 30,000 crore in their accounts.
· 70% of low cost housing are registered on women’s name
· Rs 5000 as direct benefit transfer to pregnant women
· Smt Draupadhi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India coming from most humble background has been made the President of India who is also the Supreme commander of Armed Forces.
· Women reservation bill has been passed with 33% reservation.
What we must know now
· By building 3 crore houses for poor and registering on women’s name – made women financially secure and reduced domestic violence.
· Sex ratio has increased for the first time in the history of the country to 1021 girls: 1000 boys.
· 30% increase in female enrolment in education
· 43% of all STEM Graduates are women (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). Our country is ahead of USA, UK, Germany and France.
· Women are saved from walking miles to collect water. Thanks to JAL JEEWAN Mission. In 2014 from 3.23 crores to 12 crores in 2023. Almost at 300% increase in direct tap water connections
· 45% of recognized start-ups have 1 woman director.
· One rupee sanitary pad has helped 77% of girls between 15&24 years
· 83% of entrepreneurs are women under Stand-up India
Now moving to the most transformative policy
· Lakhpati Didi scheme – where 3 crore women will be given skill training to earn at least 1 lakh annually.
· In 2023 budget FM Nirmala Sitaraman introduced Mahila Samman Savings Certificate with an interest rate of 7.5%.
· Ayushman Bharat insurance coverage has been extended to Anganwadi and Asha workers.
· Female labour participation rate has increased to 24%
· ‘Drone Didi Scheme’ – Modi ji envisioned self-help group (SHG) to become unicorns by training rural women in drone technologies for better management of their farms.
· 15% of Indian Unicorns are led by women worth $40 billion (300,000 crore)
Conclusion: The World Economic Forum (WEF) Gender Gap Report that highlights the difference between men and women visa v 4 parameters Education, Health, Economic Participation, and Political Empowerment has indeed been reduced under PM Modi indicating a wholesome development for the country.
