Minimize Interruptions with Do Not Disturb Mode

If you don’t want to turn off your phone but find that it’s repeatedly disturbing your work, the Do Not Disturb mode can be highly useful.

Silencing Your Phone

Do Not Disturb mode, available on Android phones, allows you to mute your device. It stops the phone from making sounds and even halts vibrations, eliminating visual disturbances as well.

How Does Do Not Disturb Mode Work?

Do Not Disturb mode operates uniquely on each phone, allowing users to manage the settings according to their preferences and needs.

Muting Notifications

When you turn on Do Not Disturb mode, you stop receiving reminders for incoming calls and notifications.

Notify About Calls

You can configure the setting to allow reminders for specific calls. The “Notify About Calls” option in the settings lets you receive notifications from selected contacts or set it to “None” for complete silence.

Notify About Repeated Calls

The “Notify About Repeated Calls” option notifies you of repeated calls. If a call comes twice within 15 minutes from the same number, you’ll receive a notification.

Schedule Turn On Time

You can also set Do Not Disturb mode to turn on at scheduled times. Create rules for specific tasks or times when you don’t want to be disturbed by your phone.

How to Turn On Do Not Disturb Mode

  1. Go to your phone’s settings.
  2. Scroll down to the “Sound and Vibration” option.
  3. Scroll down and tap on “Do Not Disturb.”
  4. Enable the toggle next to the setting.
