Marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, distinguished personalities from across business, entertainment, sports, science and culture joined in celebrating the milestone, reflecting on the enduring values and global impact of the nation.
The U.S. Embassy India commemorated the occasion with a special campaign featuring prominent voices sharing what “American excellence” means to them. In its message, the Embassy wrote:

Joining the celebration were renowned global business leader Indra Nooyi, National Award winning actor Rituparna Sengupta , actor R. Madhavan astronaut , Sunita Williams, Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra, business leader Isha Ambani, along with several other prominent personalities representing diverse fields.
The campaign brought together influential voices to acknowledge the values of innovation, resilience, freedom, collaboration and opportunity that have shaped the United States over the past 250 years while highlighting the strong people-to-people ties between India and the United States.
