Chennai | June 25, 2026 — Reaffirming its commitment to social welfare and community health, Indian Bank actively participated in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug-Free India Campaign). The nationwide initiative, aimed at eradicating the hazards of substance abuse, was observed with a dedicated pledge-taking ceremony at the bank’s Corporate Office in Chennai.
The awareness campaign, running from June 17 to June 26, 2026, was spearheaded by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment (DoSJE) under the Government of India’s Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.

To mark the occasion, a formal pledge-taking ceremony was organized to spread awareness about the devastating impacts of drug addiction in India. The pledge was led by top management, demonstrating a strong top-down commitment to the cause.
