Mumbai: Preparations are underway to bring historical and powerful stories to the screen in Hindi cinema. Actors Shiva and Hemant Birje have been signed for the upcoming film Nissa, which is being produced under the banners of C. R. Films and Sunil Aggarwal Films. The film will be directed by Ajay Ram.
The story of Nissa is set against the backdrop of the era of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. Shiva will be seen portraying the role of Aurangzeb, while Hemant Birje will essay the important character of Commander Mir Baksh. The characters played by both actors are expected to add considerable strength and depth to the narrative.
Apart from them, Sudha Chandran, Mushtaq Khan, Vinod Nagar, Rakhi Jaiswal, Gaurav Singh, Shweta Singh, and child artist Kavya Belote will also be seen in prominent roles.
The story of Nissa has been written by Sagrila V. Kahar, while the film’s music is being composed by Asif Iqbal. Anamika Yadav is handling the costume design. The film’s PRO is Santosh Raj.
The film is being produced by Ajay Ram and Sunil Kumar Aggarwal, with CA Rakesh Varneshney serving as the co-producer. The film will be shot at historical locations in Agra and Mathura. According to the makers, Nissa is planned for a theatrical release in January 2027.
Ajay Ram and Sunil Kumar Aggarwal Reunite After ‘Hi Zindagi’
It is worth mentioning that director Ajay Ram and producer Sunil Kumar Aggarwal have previously worked together on the film Hi Zindagi. Following Hi Zindagi, the duo is once again gearing up to come together with the ambitious project Nissa.
This time, with a historical backdrop and a grand canvas, the film is expected to be a special attraction for audiences.
