The report outlines the ongoing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) progress achieved by TELUS and its subsidiary TELUS Digital, highlighting strong momentum in sustainability, community impact, and responsible business operations.

In 2025, TELUS accelerated its sustainability agenda through measurable climate initiatives, strengthened community engagement, and continued advancement toward its ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. TELUS Digital India supports these efforts through responsible workplace operations, inclusive employment initiatives, and community-driven programs across its India delivery centers.
Advancing Environmental Sustainability Across Operations
In 2025, TELUS reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 79% compared to 2019 levels, while overall energy consumption declined by 1.2% year-over-year. TELUS Digital continues to support these environmental goals through sustainable operational practices implemented across its global network.
Across TELUS Digital offices and facilities, the organization expanded initiatives focused on waste reduction and resource efficiency, including reusable bottle programs, water refill stations, paper waste reduction through hand dryers, and enhanced employee awareness campaigns promoting responsible waste management.
TELUS also advanced its renewable energy transition, with 96% of electricity across TELUS and TELUS Digital operations sourced from renewable or low-emitting energy sources. Additionally, the company secured 300 MW of renewable generation capacity through virtual power purchase agreements.
Supporting these efforts, TELUS Digital purchased 48,469 MWh of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), International RECs, and Guarantees of Origin (GOs) across 19 countries where it operates major service delivery centers. In India, these initiatives are reflected through energy-efficient infrastructure, sustainable workplace practices, and responsible resource management across TELUS Digital offices.
Strengthening Community Impact and Inclusive Growth
The 2025 ESG report also highlights TELUS Corporation’s continued investment in inclusive growth and community development, with TELUS Digital employees actively participating in many of these global initiatives.
Marking the 20th anniversary of the global volunteer initiative, TELUS Days of Giving mobilized nearly 90,000 team members, retirees, customers, and volunteers who collectively contributed 1.5 million volunteer hours across 33 countries in 2025.
TELUS’ sustainability leadership also received international recognition, including inclusion in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations list and TIME Magazine’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies ranking.
A major milestone for India in 2025 was the launch of the country’s first-ever TELUS Community Board, alongside a second board established in Greater London, UK. The Community Board model empowers local leaders to make decisions on community grant funding, ensuring philanthropic investments address region-specific priorities and community needs.
Globally, TELUS contributed more than $12 million through grants and student bursaries supporting youth-focused education and healthcare programs.
TELUS Digital India further supports local communities through impact-driven initiatives and strategic partnerships. Programs such as Share to Care, launched in partnership with Akshaya Patra Foundation, continue to support underserved communities through grassroots outreach and engagement.
The company is also creating inclusive employment opportunities through Project Samika, developed in collaboration with SETU Community Centre. The initiative provides women with specialized IT and data management training, helping expand access to digital economy jobs while strengthening the company’s broader impact sourcing strategy.
