Tejas Kothari of the V4 Once More Band, which was formed by Ekta Purecha, Kaushal Purecha, Arohi Kothari, and himself, is excited to perform live during the Navratri celebration. Talking about the festival, he said, “Navratri is not just a festival; it’s a feeling. The preparations usually begin a month in advance, with people starting to attend Garba classes for the celebrations.”
“This year, we are performing at Raasvilla in Rajkot. What’s unique about the venue is that they truly honor Navratri traditions in terms of decoration, food, and more. We are very excited to play there,” he added.
He emphasized that performing live during Navratri has a unique vibe. He said, “Normally, during the wedding season, we also do dandiya-garba for around an hour, but singing the same songs during Navratri is a completely different feeling. We perform for around three hours for nearly 7,000 to 8,000 people. Watching them dance gives you a whole new energy for singing as well.”
“The uniqueness of V4 Once More is that we don’t just sing songs, we perform continuously throughout. Our outfits are also appreciated by people, as we wear matching clothes,” he added.
Tejas also emphasized that the festival is not only big in Gujarat or India, but is celebrated worldwide. He said, “People play Garba at, perform aarti every morning and night, and also sing bhajans after the aarti. The festival is mainly celebrated for nine days.”
