WhatsApp Introduces New Feature: Set Your Username for Profile!

There will be no need to give a phone number to anyone for WhatsApp chatting, work will be done with a unique username

WhatsApp keeps on introducing many new features for its users. WhatsApp is working on a new feature. Now you will be able to set your username on WhatsApp.

Users on the beta testing channel cannot try this feature (WhatsApp User Name) as it is still under testing and development. A feature tracker has shared it on its platform. The company can roll out it for the users very soon.

Now The User Name Will Be Able To Be Used On Whatsapp

According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, the recently released WhatsApp for Android beta 2.23.11.15 has added a feature that will allow users to choose a username for their profile. The feature is still in development.

The company has not shared any information about it. As per the preview image shared by WABetaInfo, the messaging service will mention “This is your unique username” below the username picker. This means that no two users can have the same username.

Can Use Like This

The feature tracker says that the username picker feature will be available by tapping on Menu > Settings > Profile with three dots. You will also be able to edit the username. A pencil icon will be found near the user name, with the help of which you will be able to change your user name.

The company has not shared any information about how this feature will work. According to the report, keeping in mind privacy, WhatsApp can give the option of setting only one user name.
