Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to Honor Over 30 Women with Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Women’s Award

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will honor more than 30 women for their invaluable contributions in various fields with the Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Women’s Award. The event will take place on March 6 at the Prime Ministers’ Museum in Delhi.

Recognizing Women’s Contributions Across Sectors

Also known as the Kamla Power Women Award, this honor is organized annually by the Kamla Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust, led by Nidarshana Gowani.

Speaking about the initiative, Nidarshana Gowani said,
“Through our trust, we recognize and celebrate women across the country who have dedicated themselves to social upliftment and progress. Their extraordinary efforts are shaping a stronger and more developed India. This year, we will honor more than 30 such remarkable women with the Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Women’s Award.”

Honoring Women from Diverse Fields

The 2025 edition of the award will acknowledge outstanding women working for the upliftment of tribal and underprivileged communities, along with achievers in arts, sports, social work, business, entertainment, journalism, healthcare, IT, and politics.

Dignitaries to Attend the Ceremony

The prestigious event will witness the presence of several Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, and distinguished personalities from various sectors, highlighting the significance of women’s empowerment in India.
