Ira Umashanker Sets New CISCE National Record in Swimming
Class 7C student Ira Umashanker secured the Gold Medal in the 200m Breaststroke at the CISCE National Sports & Games.
Ira clocked an impressive 3:01.78, setting a new CISCE National Record in the event. Her performance also earned her qualification for the upcoming School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Championship.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the young swimmer and adds to Trio World School’s representation at the national level.
Taksh Bharath Gowda Wins Gold in Shooting
In shooting, Class 9 student Taksh Bharath Gowda demonstrated his precision and consistency at the National Shooting Championship, where he secured a Gold Medal.
Taksh has also qualified for the upcoming SGFI Tournament, giving him another opportunity to compete against leading school-level athletes from across India.
Aahan Satapathy Selected for National Chess Championship
Trio World School’s achievements extend beyond traditional athletic disciplines.
Aahan Satapathy of Class 10 has been selected to represent the region at the National Chess Championship, scheduled to be held in Kanpur from October 8 to October 12, 2026.
The selection recognizes Aahan’s performance in competitive chess and places him among students competing at the national level.
Mariam Nimrah Earns Taekwondo Nationals Selection
Mariam Nimrah, a Class 8 student, has earned selection to compete at the Taekwondo Nationals in Amritsar, Punjab, scheduled from October 2 to October 4, 2026.
Her selection further strengthens Trio World School’s presence across multiple sporting disciplines at national competitions.
CISCE and SGFI National Championships
The CISCE National Games and SGFI National Championships provide competitive platforms for school athletes from across India.
The CISCE competition brings together students from affiliated schools following zonal and regional qualifying rounds. Qualification for SGFI-level competition provides an opportunity for successful school athletes to compete alongside participants representing different state education boards and other school-level sporting systems.
For student-athletes, reaching these national competitions requires sustained training, discipline and commitment alongside their academic responsibilities.
