Joining hands to make a difference and voice out about tree plantation and traditional plantation practices by the forest department Kerala in collaboration with Oceanic Divas.They had organized a tree plantation drive at Kargil and carried the initiative forward to Kottayam and plan on executing the same, pan India. It’s not only about planting the tree but to also know “WHY” of plantation, it’s role in climate change, economy and sustainable living practices.We intend to spread awareness about why we should plant trees and the various benefits from it.
Environmentalist and Beauty Queen Varsha Rajkhowa – Miss Scuba International 2016,Ocean Ambassador, Climate Reality Leader, who is also the founder of Oceanic Divas along with her team and former Miss Scuba India 2019 and psychologist Steaffy Shaji successfully managed to execute this programme planting 800 seedlings in a big bag, along with KB Subhash- ACF forest department Kottayam Kerala at St. Gits College in pathamuttom, Kottayam district, Kerala. Greatly supported and initiated by the college chairman Ponnus George, principal Dr Mathew Jacob and project manager of the nature club Mr Ashwin. These beauty queens with a purpose aim to bring an impact nationwide and strive to create a change through their actions as they believe one step towards nature is one step towards life.
