Solar rooftop scheme launched

To promote green and solar energy in the country, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has launched the Solar Rooftop Scheme. Under this scheme, if you have to install solar panels on the roof of the house from any seller included in the discom panel. After this, you can apply for a subsidy from the government. If you get a three-kilowatt solar panel installed, it will cost Rs 72,000. At the same time, you will get a subsidy of 40 percent i.e. about 48 thousand rupees from the government.

Subsidy on two kilowatt solar pan

If you want to install a two-kilowatt solar panel at home, then it will cost around Rs 1.20 lakh. At the same time, after getting the subsidy from the government, its expenditure will be reduced to only 72 thousand rupees. At the same time, up to 20% subsidy will be given by the central government on the installation of solar rooftops up to 500 KV. In this plan, you can use solar panels for about 25 years. At the same time, the cost paid in the scheme will be completed in five to six years. The central government invites online applications under this scheme on the official website.

About 10 square meters of space is needed for one kilowatt of solar energy through the scheme. For this scheme, the interested beneficiary must have permanent residence in India.

You must have a government ID like PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID. Apart from this, an income certificate and electricity bill will have to be submitted. Along with this, a picture of the roof will have to be given, where the solar panel is to be installed.
