With the motive to produce quality and content-driven cinema, producer duo – Sanjay Saha set up his production house called Anandita Studios, and his debut film ‘Haddi’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role has been produced under his production banner.
Post Anandita Studios, Sanjay has consciously decided to start another production house under the umbrella of Anandita Studios titled ‘Anandita Mini’. Talking about his new creative venture, Sanjay informs, “With talent agency background experience, I ventured into film business, producing my first film ‘Haddi’. I want to give young new talent a fair opportunity to showcase and explore their talent and hence decided to start my channel called Anandita Mini where we showcase such talent through short films, and get them reviewed by renowned directors or filmmakers from our industry. So it’s basically providing them a good platform. The thought of Anandita Mini also occurred to my mother, as she informed me to do something for new talent who don’t have platform to showcase their talent. She is the one who got me to this business.”
Shedding more light on the vision of Anandita Mini, Sanjay informs, “I will be directing maybe one or two short films and a feature film next year but the idea is to give opportunity to new directors.”
Interestingly, Sanjay’s first short film on the YouTube channel of Anandita Mini features actor Saharsh Kumar Shukla, who has played a pivotal role in ‘Haddi’. “We are looking to do around 4-5 short films a month, along with maybe a mini web series. We will keep adding content to the channel. And in this first short film from Anandita Mini, we have given chance to the actor Saharsh Kumar Shukla to play the lead role. He also played a pivotal character in ‘Haddi’,” Sanjay concludes.
