Rinku Dhawan, last seen in “Bigg Boss 17,” has joined the cast of Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s “Udaariyaan,” produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The show is taking a 15-year leap, with new episodes airing from May 30. It will feature Avinesh Rekhi, Aditi Bhagat, and Shreya Jain in lead roles, with Rinku portraying Avinesh’s stepmother.
Talking about the show and her character, she said, “This has been a long-running and successful show, and being a part of it will definitely add a star to my career. I wanted to be part of this, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. My role is that of Avinesh Rekhi’s stepmother. She is a bit of a selfish woman who manipulates, uses, and abuses others to get what she wants for herself and her children. My look is that of a Punjabi kudi.”
Before her stint in “Bigg Boss,” Rinku was seen in the TV show “Titli,” and she feels grateful for the continuous work coming her way. She also expressed her gratitude towards producer duo Ravi and Sargun, appreciating their achievements at such a young age. “They have proven themselves in their individual careers, and together they have made wonders happen. Their energy speaks through their work. I remember discussing work with them earlier, and a few days ago, I sent them a thank you message. It was very sweet of them to respond with so much love and gratitude. It’s admirable, the love they’ve spread,” she said.
