Rajasthan, November 6, 2025 – Rajasthan is set for a major transformation. BLS E-Services has announced that it will open additional 5000 new Business Correspondent (BC) centers in the state over the next two years. These centers will be launched in phases and fully operational by 2027. The company stated that this move will significantly benefit villages where people still have to travel for hours to reach the nearest bank branch.
Banking at Your Doorstep
With the opening of new BC centers in villages, residents will no longer need to visit towns to withdraw or deposit money or to receive subsidies and pensions. Transactions can be completed using fingerprint authentication or mobile OTP. These centers will also offer services like bill payments, mobile recharges, insurance, loans, and access to government schemes — all within the village itself.
Opportunities for Youth
According to BLS, each new BC center will be managed by a local youth appointed as an agent. They will receive training and digital tools from the company. This initiative aims to provide sustainable employment and dignity to rural youth. The company estimates that the 5000 centers will generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities.
A Shift in Rural Banking
Currently, a farmer or laborer in rural Rajasthan has to spend half a day for a simple bank transaction. The new BC centers will save both time and money, bringing greater transparency in banking. Gradually, people will shift toward digital transactions and cashless payments.
Experts believe this initiative will give new momentum to rural economic growth, with villages evolving into mini digital hubs.
BLS E-Services, Chairman, Shikhar Aggarwal, said, “Rajasthan will be the backbone of our expansion. By 2027, every block will have modern BC centers. Banking is changing, and it’s time for ‘Step Banking with BLS’.” He added, “BC centers are not just service points, they are medium of social transformation. Rural Rajasthan will now experience the same banking services that were once limited to urban areas. This is true financial inclusion.”
What the Numbers Say
Currently, BLS has over 45,000 BC agents across India, with rapid expansion underway in Rajasthan.
