Namita Thapar, born on March 21, 1977, in Pune, Maharashtra, hails from a lineage deeply rooted in pharmaceuticals. Her father, Satish Mehta, is the Founder and CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, a multinational firm headquartered in Pune. With a penchant for academics, Namita pursued her education diligently, completing her schooling in Pune before obtaining her Chartered Accountant certification in 1998. Subsequently, she ventured to the USA, earning an MBA from Duke University in 2001.

Following her MBA, Namita gained invaluable experience as a senior manager in Abbott’s financial planning department for five years. However, her true calling awaited her back home in India.

In 2007, Namita returned to India, poised to make her mark on her father’s company. Assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Emcure Pharmaceuticals, she exhibited remarkable acumen and dedication, propelling the company to unprecedented heights. Her stellar performance earned her the position of Executive Director, solidifying her status as a formidable leader in the pharmaceutical industry.
