Mumbai 1 may 2026 – MaskTV has officially released its latest original series Ashqiya Ishqiya, a six-episode family drama that strengthens the platform’s focus on emotionally driven, character-led storytelling. Produced by Anju Bhatt and Chiranjeevi Bhatt, the series is set in the urban town of Khategaon and explores the evolving relationship between a father and his daughter.
The story follows Ramnath and his daughter Raano, whose lives take a dramatic turn when Salim enters Raano’s world. As love and ambition take over, they make choices that challenge family dignity, social standing, and truth itself. The series also touches upon themes often debated in society such as “love jihad”, presenting how such relationships and decisions can shape and even alter prevailing social narratives. As truths unfold, the consequences prove far-reaching and irreversible. Speaking on the release, Channel Producer Mansie Bhatt said, “With Ashqiya Ishqiya, we are bringing forward a story that dares to explore uncomfortable truths. It reflects how relationships, beliefs, and societal narratives are constantly evolving, and how certain realities are often hidden or ignored.
Through this series, we are not just telling a story, but also presenting perspectives that question and reshape narratives.” She added, “This release marks a significant step for MaskTV as we launch our new app, which is bigger, better, and built for a richer viewing experience. Audiences can now stream Ashqiya Ishqiya directly on the MaskTV app. With multiple productions in the pipeline, we are committed to delivering powerful and impactful stories in the time ahead.”
