After teasing audiences with its mysterious title and captivating teaser, ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown OTT platform, in association with PRK Productions, has finally unveiled the official trailer of its much-anticipated Kannada original series, Maarigallu. The supernatural folklore thriller is set to premiere on 31st October 2025, exclusively on ZEE5, promising an immersive journey that intertwines suspense, devotion, and the deep-rooted traditions of Karnataka.

A Journey into the Supernatural Heart of Karnataka
Set in the 1990s, Maarigallu transports viewers to a tranquil village near Sirsi, where a group of villagers stumble upon an ancient clue pointing to a lost Kadamba-era treasure. What begins as a simple treasure hunt soon spirals into a chilling confrontation between human greed and divine wrath.
As superstition clashes with reason, and reality blurs with myth, the series explores how faith, fear, and folklore intertwine to reveal a mystery older than time itself. Each twist in Maarigallu pulls the audience deeper into a world where every shadow tells a story and every secret hides a curse.
A Stellar Ensemble Cast
The series features an extraordinary cast that brings authenticity and depth to its layered narrative.

Produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar under PRK Productions, Maarigallu is written and directed by Devraj Poojary, with cinematography by S.K. Rao, music composed by L.V. Muthu and L.V. Ganesh, and sound design by Ravi Hiremat—all contributing to the series’ hauntingly beautiful atmosphere.
