Grand Graduation Showcase Highlights Innovation, Sustainability, and Industry-Driven Fashion Education at LPU
Jalandhar: The School of Fashion Design at Lovely Professional University (LPU) once again reaffirmed its dedication to innovation, creativity, and industry-integrated fashion education through ECLAT ELEVE 16.0, the grand annual graduating showcase of final-year students. The event served as a vibrant platform to display the artistic vision, technical excellence, and contemporary design sensibilities cultivated through LPU’s dynamic fashion programmes.
The runway came alive with an eclectic mix of student collections inspired by powerful themes such as resilience, sustainability, heritage, identity, and transformation. Through captivating sequences like Threads of Resilience, Roots Reimagined, Echoes of Heritage, and Realms of Transformation, students presented compelling fashion narratives that seamlessly fused cultural heritage with futuristic aesthetics and experimental storytelling.
Adding prestige to the occasion, celebrated Indian costume designer Anju Modi, renowned for her work in blockbuster films such as Bajirao Mastani and Ram-Leela, graced the event as a distinguished guest. She praised the creativity, confidence, and professional maturity displayed by the emerging designers while commending LPU’s strong industry-oriented academic framework, cutting-edge infrastructure, and practical learning environment. During her visit, Modi also conducted an insightful workshop and masterclass focused on garment storytelling, craftsmanship, detailing, and emerging global fashion trends.
Speaking at the event, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal emphasized that the modern fashion industry demands professionals who can successfully merge creativity with technical expertise, innovation, and market understanding. She underscored that experiential learning, real-world engagement, and industry exposure remain at the heart of LPU’s educational philosophy.
ECLAT ELEVE 16.0 also reflected LPU’s broader EduRevolution vision, under which students gain valuable exposure through live projects, internships, freelancing opportunities, and collaborations with leading brands and industry partners. This progressive academic ecosystem ensures students receive credit for impactful industry work and innovation-driven projects.
Further strengthening its position as a premier destination for fashion education, LPU’s School of Fashion Design has launched two new industry-focused programmes: a 2-Year Master’s in Fashion Management and a 4-Year Bachelor’s in Fashion Technology. These programmes are strategically designed to bridge fashion with management, merchandising, manufacturing, engineering, production, marketing, and retail—equipping students for emerging opportunities in the global fashion industry.
These newly introduced programmes complement LPU’s existing academic offerings, including B.Design (Fashion Design) and M.Sc. (Fashion Design), both of which continue to nurture creative talent through a robust combination of design innovation, technical mastery, and industry engagement.
With admissions now open for the academic session 2026–27, Lovely Professional University continues to emerge as a preferred destination for aspiring students seeking future-ready, globally relevant, and practical education in fashion, design, and the broader creative industries.
