Krishna Shroff and Tiger Shroff Put Indian MMA on the World Map Once Again With A Spectacular MFN 18

Krishna Shroff, Ayesha Shroff and Tiger Shroff once again accomplished what they set out to do with another successful MFN season. And once again, India’s premier MMA promotion proved exactly why it sits in a category of its own. What unfolded at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida on May 2 was the clearest statement yet of everything Krishna Shroff, Ayesha Shroff, and Tiger Shroff have been building since 2019, a promotion with the depth, the talent pipeline, and the competitive standard to stand alongside any MMA property in the world. Thirteen bouts, two title fights, and an atmosphere that confirmed Indian MMA has found not just an audience but a genuinely invested one.

The evening’s standout moments came thick and fast, but the headline results belonged entirely to India. In the co-main event, Digambar Singh Rawat claimed the lightweight title in a performance that had the crowd on its feet. His victory felt as much like a statement as it did a result. The main event delivered something even more significant. Sonam Zomba, defending her MFN 17 championship, stepped up against Brazil’s Maristela Alves and did it again. She presented a spectacular title defence that cemented her as one of the most compelling fighters on the MFN roster and further supported exactly what Krishna has always stood for, that Indian MMA, and women’s MMA in this country specifically, is ready for the world stage.

What MFN 18 adds to, is a legacy that has grown more impressive with every edition. From its earliest seasons, Matrix Fight Night has been a consistently sold-out, consistently talked-about and more importantly, a direct feeder tournament that draws over 600 athletes each season, all competing for a handful of MFN contracts and the career pathway that comes with them. It has already produced UFC-signed fighters in Anshul Jubli and Puja Tomar. The infrastructure that comprises of MMA Matrix training facilities, international exchange programmes and world-class coaching access, has been the quiet engine behind every headline result. Eighteen editions in, Krishna Shroff, Ayesha Shroff and Tiger Shroff are not slowing down. If anything, MFN 18 suggests they are only getting started.
