Gadar-2 actor Rohit Choudhary, who will next be seen in the film Vanvass, celebrates Diwali with much fervour and enthusiasm, however, this year it is not going to be the same for him as he might be out of the country.
He said, “Diwali is a time for reflection, celebration, and being with loved ones. It’s about lighting up not just our homes but also our hearts with positivity, love, and hope. I might not be in India this Diwali, so it’s going to be a quieter and pollution-free celebration. But no matter where I am, I’ll still make time to connect with my family and enjoy the festive spirit.”
He loves spending time with his family during the festival and said that their presence makes him the happiest. “Being surrounded by them during this festive time fills my heart with happiness,” he added.
Rohit is against burning crackers and said, “They cause unnecessary pollution and harm to the environment, so I always support a cracker-free Diwali.”
Rohit loves wearing traditional outfits and indulging in sweets on Diwali; he said, “There’s something so special about embracing our culture through clothing, even if it’s just for a few hours. I love having traditional sweets, especially ghewar. It’s my absolute favorite during the festive season.”
But he is not someone who indulges in giving gifts only on Diwali. He said, “I love giving gifts out of love, not just during Diwali but anytime of the year. I prefer gifts that are meaningful and personal, something that reflects my connection with the person.”
A favourite Diwali memory? “I miss celebrating Diwali with my dad the most. One of my fondest memories is when we used to decorate the house together and light diyas—it was always a special bonding moment for us,” Rohit ended.
