Chennai, [08.02.2025]: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)with B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed University) to conduct a Cybersecurity Hackathon, aimed at fostering innovation in the banking and financial sectors. This initiative aligns with the broader vision of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India to promote technological advancements and entrepreneurship in banking.
The bank has also partnered with M/s. Ernst & Young (E&Y) as the knowledge partner, ensuring that the hackathon provides participants with expert guidance and industry insights.
The Cybersecurity Hackathon will focus on addressing critical problem statements in Digital Authentication, encouraging students to develop AI and ML-driven prototype solutions to tackle real-world challenges. The competition will span several months, providing teams with the opportunity to refine their ideas under the mentorship of academic experts and industry leaders.
