Producers Guild of India Comes On Board as Chief Patron and Institutional Partner
Mumbai: In a major development for the Indian film industry, the Indian National Cine Academy (INCA) has been officially launched as a pan-India cinematic platform aimed at uniting 12 Indian film industries under one national institution. Designed as a long-term initiative, INCA seeks to celebrate excellence, promote collaboration, and strengthen India’s cinematic ecosystem through transparent and inclusive processes.
INCA Founded by Vishnu Vardhan Induri
INCA is founded by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the creator of two of India’s most successful entertainment properties—the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) and the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Known for building credible, large-scale industry platforms, Induri brings his experience and vision to establish INCA as a lasting national institution for Indian cinema.
A National Institution Beyond Awards
Positioned as more than just an awards ceremony, INCA will function as a national cinematic institution. The platform will feature a two-day format, starting with an Indian Cinema Conclave that includes panel discussions, workshops, masterclasses, and policy-focused conversations. This will be followed by the INCA Awards Night, recognising outstanding achievements across artistic and technical categories.
INCA brings together Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Assamese, and Odia film industries, encouraging cross-industry collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and peer-driven recognition.
Producers Guild of India Associates with INCA
Strengthening its national framework, the Producers Guild of India has partnered with INCA as Chief Patron and key institutional partner. The association will provide strategic leadership, support coordination with film bodies nationwide, and help establish best-in-class governance, transparency, and credibility.
Commenting on the partnership, Shibasish Sarkar, President, Producers Guild of India, said that INCA is an important step toward uniting Indian cinema on a truly national platform, enabling collaboration, knowledge exchange, and transparent recognition across languages and regions.
Vision for a Unified Indian Cinema
Sharing his vision, Vishnu Vardhan Induri said that while Indian cinema has gained unprecedented national and global recognition, it continues to operate in silos. INCA aims to create a shared national identity for Indian cinema by celebrating excellence and fostering collaboration across industries.
Transparent and Inclusive INCA Awards Process
The INCA Awards will follow a democratic and transparent selection process, featuring industry-wide voting by members of recognised film bodies and independent third-party audit and validation. This ensures fairness, credibility, and authentic peer recognition across all participating film industries.
Inaugural INCA Event to Bring Industry Leaders Together
The first edition of INCA will be hosted as a two-day national event, bringing together filmmakers, producers, actors, technicians, OTT platforms, policymakers, and global stakeholders. The event is expected to mark a new milestone in the evolution of the Indian film industry and its growing global influence.
