Convocation Ceremony of Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership (IIDL)’s sixth batch and Induction ceremony of seventh batch of PG Programme in Leadership, Politics & Governance was held recently at RMP-KEC campus in Uttan(Bhayander). Hon’ble Rahul Narwekar , Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Maharashtra, was present as the Chief Guest. Dr RD Kulkarni, Vice-Chancellor of the Mumbai University and Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, eminent filmmaker were the Guest of Honour who graced the ceremony .
On the occasion Rahul Narwekar said that , “It was an honor to serve as Chief Guest at the Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership’s Sixth Convocation Ceremony—an initiative by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini. We celebrated the successful completion of their one-year Post Graduate Programme in Leadership Politics and Governance. This visionary program bridges the gap between young talent and India’s democratic polity, aiming to nurture proficient, principled, and accountable leaders for a “New India.” “ Dr RD Kulkarni and Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi gave their best wishes to the students and appreciated them all.
The students received their PG Programme certificates from the Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly . The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Vice Chairman-RMP. Present on the occasion were Dr Jayant Kulkarni, Executive Director, RMP, Devendra Pai, Course Director IIDL, along with parents of sixth batch students to appreciate their success and give wishes to the new batch
About Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership – IIDL
RMP initiated the idea of IIDL in 2017 to broaden the scope of leadership – science from the limited area of management science and provide an interdisciplinary institutional framework to train leadership from socio-political perspective.
Post Graduate Diploma (PGP) in Leadership, Politics, and Governance (LPG) is a unique interdisciplinary course designed to bridge the gap between young talent and India’s democratic political entity and governance. The programme is targeted at students and young professionals who wish to make a career in the field of politics, governance, public affairs and leadership. The course is designed to produce trained, ethical and responsible leaders, in short – “New Leaders for a New India.”
The one-year residential programme is designed to bridge the gap between India’s young talent and India’s democratic policy and governance. Over 120 students from over 21 states of India have completed the course and are contributing to nation building.
