Grace in Motion: Neeti Jain and Troupe Enchant with Mool

Gurugram: The stage at Epicenter came alive as Neeti Jain and her troupe delivered a breathtaking Kathak recital, blending tradition, storytelling, and artistic brilliance. The evening was a true celebration of the Lucknow Gharana, where rhythmic footwork, expressive abhinaya, and captivating chakkars enthralled the audience.

Titled Mool, the performance explored the essence of success, weaving together the crucial elements of a Guru’s guidance, failure, focus, discipline, and perseverance. Conceptualized, written, and designed by Neeti Jain, the production featured original music composed by Samiullah Khan.

A dedicated Kathak exponent, Neeti Jain has trained under esteemed Gurus since the age of six and holds a Prabhakar degree from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. Her mastery was evident in her evocative storytelling, intricate tatkaar, and fluid movements, drawing audiences into timeless narratives of mythology and philosophy.

The event was graced by renowned Kathak dancers Nalini Jain and Richa Jain as chief guests, inspiring the students of Mudra Dance Studio, who also took the stage. With over a decade of teaching experience, Neeti has trained more than 60 students, instilling not just technique but the soul of Kathak through Mudra’s unique approach.

A standout element of the evening was the seamless integration of drama, lighting, and costume design, elevating the visual and emotional impact of the performance. Every movement resonated deeply, leaving the audience spellbound.

As the final echoes of the ghungroos faded, thunderous applause filled the auditorium, marking the success of an evening that reaffirmed the timeless beauty of Kathak. With performances like these, Mudra Dance Studio continues to uphold and evolve the legacy of classical dance, proving that tradition, when nurtured with passion and commitment, remains ever-relevant.
