Global Expansion: UPI Breaks Borders, Launches in France for Seamless Payments by Indian Tourists

The trade alliance between India and France is getting stronger. Trade partnership between the two countries is increasing in areas ranging from defense to tourism. France has approved the use of India’s digital payment system UPI and it has been launched there. The formal launch of UPI was done at the Eiffel Tower during the Republic Day reception organized by the Indian Embassy in France on Friday. After the launch of UPI in France, now Indian tourists will be able to make UPI payments there. This time French President Emmanuel Macron was the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations. On reaching here he was given grand hospitality.

Indian Embassy gave information about the launch

UPI was launched in a formal program at the Indian Embassy in France. This launching was done at the Eiffel Tower. The Indian Embassy said that UPI was formally launched at a huge Republic Day ceremony at the iconic Eiffel Tower. PM Modi had announced about the global reach of UPI. It has been launched here with the vision of taking UPI global.
