New Delhi, 2026 — GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, has signed a long-term charter party agreement with Alpha Gas, a leading Greek shipping company, for the LNG carrier Energy Fidelity. The agreement was executed between GAIL and Pantheon Maritime Services Private Limited, a Singapore-based affiliate of Alpha Gas.
The agreement was formally signed in Athens at Alpha Gas headquarters by Shri S. Bairagi, Executive Director (Marketing – Shipping & International LNG), GAIL (India) Limited, and Ms. Anna Angelicoussis, Owner of Alpha Gas.
Advanced LNG Carrier to Enhance Efficiency and Sustainability
The LNG carrier Energy Fidelity boasts a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters and is equipped with a state-of-the-art two-stroke propulsion system. It also features advanced air lubrication technology and shaft generators, significantly improving fuel efficiency while reducing emissions.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for GAIL under the Government of India’s Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, reinforcing the country’s maritime infrastructure and strengthening its energy supply chain.
