Chandigarh, December 5, 2025: As North India experiences one of its harshest winters in recent years, the impact is felt most severely across Delhi’s underserved slum settlements, where fragile housing and scarce resources intensify seasonal hardships. With temperatures dipping sharply, the need for swift humanitarian intervention has become critical.
In response, Cosmo Foundation, the CSR arm of Cosmo First Limited, launched a “Blanket & Meal Distribution Drive” on Friday, December 5, 2025, dedicated to supporting children living in slum communities. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with two notable social and spiritual organisations — Spread A Smile India and ISKCON New Delhi — ensuring targeted relief during the early winter chill.
Hosted at the Spread A Smile India office in Munirka, New Delhi, the Foundation distributed 500 blankets to children from neighbouring slum clusters. The activity offered not only essential warmth but also reflected the Foundation’s sustained commitment to community development and child welfare.
Strengthening the outreach further, the Foundation partnered with ISKCON New Delhi to serve nutritious meals to 500 children. The on-site meal distribution brought together compassion, service, and coordinated social action to support vulnerable young lives through the season’s demands.
Ms. Yamini Jaipuria, Managing Trustee, Cosmo Foundation, highlighted the importance of the effort, stating, “Delhi’s winter brings severe challenges for children living in under-resourced communities. Today’s initiative is an important step in ensuring their safety and comfort. We remain committed to protecting every child with warmth, dignity, and meaningful support.”
An ISKCON New Delhi spokesperson added, “We are grateful for the support from Cosmo Foundation. Their involvement enabled us to reach children who face winter with limited protection. Together, we were able to offer comfort, nourishment, and care.”
