Founded in 2003, Promact transformed into an enduring institution after Chintan Shah took ownership in 2012, having started as a junior developer. Over two decades, we have scaled to 130+ professionals across Vadodara, Pune, and the US, serving Fortune 500s and building market-defining assets like WOTU (acquired by Zomato as Hyperpure). Marking our governance maturity in 2026, Chintan transitioned to Group Chairman.
Traditional IT firms operate transactionally, billing by the hour, executing assigned tasks to specification, and assuming technical complexity alone protects client relationships. Promact replaces that vendor mindset with radical, end-to-end product co-ownership. We embed as strategic engineering partners, managing everything from architecture, product strategy, and UI/UX to cloud deployment and ongoing performance. By taking full accountability for real-world business outcomes rather than just shipping code, we ensure client software assets are engineered to lead, scale, and endure.
Dailyhunt speaks to Chintan Shah, Group Chairman & Director, Promact Global, to understand the company’s evolution, its differentiated approach to technology, the growing role of AI, and its vision for the years ahead.
What are the key technology solutions and services that Promact offers today, and what kind of business challenges do you help clients solve?
Promact delivers end-to-end engineering across cloud-native development, product design, generative AI, digital commerce, legacy modernization, and data analytics. We eliminate critical operational bottlenecks, technical debt, and administrative drag for enterprise and defense clients through solutions like Agentic ERP, Agentic CRM, and DPDP compliance tools. Crucially, our strategic initiative Project Reclaim dismantles third-party vendor lock-in, enabling businesses to rescue compromised codebases and regain complete internal ownership, visibility, and control over their core software infrastructure.
Promact works with businesses across different markets. What have you learned from working with clients across different industries and geographies?
Serving Fortune 500 organizations and high-growth startups across India and the United States, which is our largest market, taught us that technical complexity alone is never a moat. Sustainable partnerships require deep governance, transparent contracts, and a culture of total accountability and dependable execution. While North American enterprises demand rapid, aggressive scalability and Indian clients prioritize cost-to-value agility, both need absolute technical reliability. True geographical expansion succeeds only when engineering rigor aligns with client economics, ensuring software systems withstand rapid market shifts.
AI is becoming a major part of Promact’s growth strategy. How is the company using AI and Generative AI to create solutions for its clients and build new products?
We treat AI as secure, foundational infrastructure rather than an add-on feature. For government, enterprise, and defense clients, we build sovereign AI platforms that guarantee total control over proprietary data and models. Across daily business operations, our Agentic ERP and CRM systems automate routine tasks to remove administrative bottlenecks. In our own product ecosystem, Generative AI automates complex legal intelligence and simplifies dense insurance fine print, turning unstructured documents into fast, actionable decisions.
From an industry perspective, what are some of the biggest challenges businesses face today when adopting new technologies such as AI and cloud?
The biggest challenge enterprises face is moving beyond experimental proofs-of-concept into secure, scalable production. Many struggle with messy data silos, outdated codebases, and vendor lock-in. At the same time, relying on closed, external AI models creates major privacy and compliance risks under laws like India’s DPDP Act. To succeed, businesses must adopt secure, sovereign AI setups that protect their data, deliver dependable results, and generate measurable returns on investment.
Looking ahead, what are Promact’s key growth plans, and what does the company aim to achieve over the next five years?
Over the next five years, Promact aims to transition into a fully AI-native enterprise where artificial intelligence drives core delivery and operations. We are accelerating our presence across our largest market, the United States, while expanding our international footprint. Our strategic roadmap centers on deploying sovereign AI infrastructure for enterprise, defense, and public sector clients worldwide, alongside scaling our proprietary incubated ventures into independent, category-defining market leaders.
