Raipur, April 6, 2026: In a significant boost to Chhattisgarh’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, TiE Raipur was officially launched at Hotel Sayaji, marking the state’s formal entry into the expansive global network of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), which spans more than 60 cities worldwide.
The launch event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, academicians, and policymakers, all coming together to celebrate a new chapter in the region’s startup journey. The presence of diverse stakeholders underscored the rising momentum in Chhattisgarh’s startup landscape and the need for structured support systems to nurture innovation and scale ventures.
TiE Raipur will be led by Manish Mohta as President, with Abhinav Khandelwal serving as President-Elect. Khandelwal, a seasoned expert in capital markets, brings valuable experience in fundraising and IPO advisory, positioning the chapter to effectively connect startups with funding opportunities and strategic guidance.
With a clear and ambitious roadmap, TiE Raipur aims to support over 100 startups annually and facilitate investments ranging between ₹100 crore and ₹300 crore over the next three years. The focus will be on building a robust support ecosystem through mentorship programs, investor access, and the integration of AI-driven guidance tools to help startups make informed decisions and scale efficiently.
Speaking at the launch, Khandelwal emphasized the untapped potential in the region, stating that while Chhattisgarh has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, it has historically lacked access to structured networks and capital. He noted that TiE Raipur aims to bridge this gap by creating a more connected, disciplined, and opportunity-rich ecosystem for founders, enabling them to compete at national and global levels.
To cater to startups at various stages of their journey, the chapter will operate through several focused platforms. These include the Students Entrepreneurs Lab to encourage early-stage innovation, the Women Entrepreneurs Forum to empower female founders, the Tech Founders Forum for technology-driven ventures, and the Industry Forum to connect startups with established businesses. Additionally, the Angel Circle will facilitate early-stage investments, while the Founders Forum will provide peer learning and collaboration opportunities.
The initiative is expected to play a transformative role in accelerating innovation, attracting investments, and generating employment across the state. By offering a structured ecosystem backed by global expertise, TiE Raipur aims to position Chhattisgarh as an emerging hub in India’s dynamic startup landscape.
Globally, TiE has been instrumental in fostering entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation programs. With the launch of its Raipur chapter, the organization is extending its mission to empower local entrepreneurs, enabling them to build scalable and sustainable businesses while contributing to the region’s economic growth.
