Alankrita Sahai was bestowed with the humongous honour of the ‘Excellency In Women Empowerment’ award at the prestigious ‘We Women Want’ Conclave and Shakti Awards’ organized by NewsX in New Delhi on October 14, 2024. This was the fourth year of the conclave and awards and every year, they honour women achievers and professionals from all walks of life who have made a positive impact. Given the fact that Alankrita has been doing a noble work for empowering women across all sectors and generations, fans certainly feel that she’s truly the best person to receive this award. She won the prestigious award in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Minister of Road Transport & Highways Of India and other reputed personalities of the country and no wonder this is a reason to celebrate for her fans and well-wishers. To add to the win, Alankrita also added tremendous value as a panelist, all thanks to her incredible oratory skills. Regarding her inspiring win and honour as a panelist, Alankrita said and we quote,
“By God’s grace, I have won many words and hopefully will continue to win so in future as well if I work hard. But this one has a special place in my heart because this one is about being an empowered woman. ‘We Women Want’ as a show has dealt and discussed various topics pertinent to women like body shaming, domestic violence, laws that help women and laws that don’t, women’s health, reproduction, menopause, breast cancer, cervical cancer, IVF, acid attack and workplace security for women. I feel that being a woman who’s in a position of power to be heard, it is my responsibility to make the most of my status as a celebrity and public figure to raise awareness on such topics by speaking my heart out about how I feel about these issues and how we can get better in that space. I have always done my bit to do things unconditionally to lift and raise the overall well-being of women in these years and I will continue to do so. So, to get recognised for that work which is beyond your usual scope of being an actor is extra special for me. I am glad I could also be a panelist on such an important discussion and keep my points forward in front of the stalwarts and people who matter and can bring a difference. I am extremely thankful to the organizers for thinking of me and bestowing me with the honour of being an awardee and a panelist on this reputed platform. I am all the way more motivated to do even better work in that space and make my fans, my family and my fellow women proud. Thank you so much to everyone for all the love and adulation.
