Bharat Pratibha Samman 2025: Poet Sudip Chandra Halder Receives National Honor

New Delhi, September 11, 2025 – Poet and legal researcher Sudip Chandra Halder has been conferred with the Bharat Pratibha Samman 2025, one of the country’s most respected national honors. The award ceremony, hosted at the iconic Prime Ministers’ Museum in New Delhi, celebrated individuals whose work has left a lasting cultural and social impact.

A scholar of Law at Banaras Hindu University, Halder has steadily gained recognition for his contributions to literature as well as academic research. His writings, often reflecting deep social thought, have positioned him as one of the promising literary voices of his generation.

The award was presented by Shri Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister, who praised the honorees for their commitment to advancing Bharat’s intellectual and cultural identity. The ceremony was further graced by Padma Shri awardees Dr. Kamal Kumar Shethi and Smt. Shovana Narayan, who applauded the initiative for highlighting real talent across diverse fields.

This year, the council selected 25 achievers from different disciplines, each receiving a specially crafted memento and citation modeled on the Padma Shri. The recognition underscored the importance of both creativity and responsibility in building the nation’s future.

Reflecting on the honor, Halder said, “This award is not just a personal milestone but also a reminder of the duty every writer carries toward society. Bharat is moving forward, and I aspire to play a small role in that journey. One day, India will emerge as the Vishwaguru.”

The evening concluded with an inspiring cultural showcase featuring classical dance, soulful music, and poetry recitations—an artistic reminder of India’s timeless heritage and evolving creativity.

The Bharat Pratibha Samman 2025 not only spotlighted the work of Sudip Chandra Halder but also reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to celebrate those who use their craft and intellect to serve society.
