Bengaluru Deep-Tech Startup Yaanendriya Raises Rs 15 Cr Funding Led by Piper Serica

Bengaluru, India (July 28, 2026)Yaanendriya, a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup specializing in indigenous sensor, navigation, and control technologies, has raised ₹15 crore in a recent funding round from Mumbai-based venture capital fund Piper Serica.

This strategic investment will be utilized to strengthen research and development, accelerate product timelines, and expand Yaanendriya’s portfolio of high-precision navigation systems designed for mission-critical and GNSS-denied environments.

Key Highlights of the Funding

  • Total Raised: ₹15 crore

  • Lead Investor: Piper Serica (Mumbai-based VC fund focusing on deep-tech)

  • Core Objective: To scale the proprietary SynCore navigation controller series and YDX inertial sensors.

  • Future Scope: Developing a hardware-agnostic navigation platform and high-precision MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes for the NewSpace sector.

Powering the Next Generation of Autonomous Systems

Yaanendriya is building foundational core sensor and control platforms that enable autonomous systems—ranging from drones and ground robots to spacecraft and underwater vehicles—to sense motion, estimate their state, and maintain precise control. These technologies are especially critical in environments where standard Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are unavailable, unreliable, or intentionally disrupted.

The company’s flagship SynCore navigation controllers combine inputs from multiple sensors to accurately estimate orientation, position, and velocity while supporting real-time stabilization and control. Currently, SynCore is actively deployed by robotics companies across aerial, ground, and underwater domains in the defense, surveillance, and agriculture sectors.

Additionally, Yaanendriya’s high-precision YDX inertial sensor series has established a global footprint, deployed across four continents for applications that include gaming motion capture, unmanned vehicles, and surgical robots.

Strategic Roadmap for Aerospace and Critical Missions

Building on its successful collaborations with both government and private commercial clients, Yaanendriya is advancing SynCore for space and critical navigation missions. This includes:

  • Attitude determination and control systems for satellites and orbital platforms.

  • Navigation and control for underwater vehicles operating in GNSS-denied environments.

  • A hardware-agnostic platform for navigation algorithms, designed for high portability across various hardware configurations and mission profiles.

These initiatives lay the technological groundwork for Yaanendriya’s long-term vision: developing high-precision MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes for critical aerospace systems, ultimately strengthening India’s self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) in sensing and navigation across air, land, underwater, and space domains.

Leadership and Investor Confidence

Yaanendriya was incubated at ARTPARK (a deep-tech venture builder created by IISc) and is guided by chief advisor Prof. S. N. Omkar of IISc. The startup boasts a multidisciplinary founding team featuring Vamshi Bharadwaj M V (Technology), Vyshak Y (Manufacturing), Vijay H P (Design), and Aravind Thumbur (Business and Growth).

“Reliable autonomy begins with a system’s ability to sense motion, understand its state, and control itself. We started with navigation controllers, expanded into high-precision inertial sensing, and are now bringing these capabilities together for increasingly demanding environments where conventional navigation may not be reliable. This funding will help us scale SynCore and YDX, strengthen our navigation and control platform, and begin developing indigenous MEMS sensors for the next generation of manned and unmanned platforms.” — Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Founder, Yaanendriya

Satyadeep Singh of Piper Serica highlighted the broader impact of the startup’s technology:

“Autonomous systems will define the next generation of defence, aerospace, industrial automation and mobility, but their foundation lies in technologies that enable machines to sense, navigate and control themselves reliably. At Piper Serica, we back founders building foundational technologies where hardware, software and firmware come together as a scalable platform. Yaanendriya’s long-term technology roadmap and execution capabilities gave us the conviction that it can build a globally competitive navigation technology company from India.”
