If you are eligible for Ayushman Bharat Yojana and even after having an Ayushman card, you are not getting free treatment from the hospital, then you can lodge a complaint. Know where and how the complaint will be made.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana: In today’s time, health insurance has become the need of the people. But only those people who have better earnings can take advantage of insurance. Poor and economically weak people are unable to pay the expensive premiums for insurance, so they are unable to take advantage of it. For such people to get free treatment, Ayushman Bharat Yojana is run by the Government of India.

For those who are eligible to take advantage of this scheme, an Ayushman card is issued by the government. Through this card, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh can be done in the listed hospitals. But if you have an Ayushman card, but still the hospital is refusing to give you free treatment, then you can file a complaint in this matter.

COMPLAINTS CAN BE MADE ON THE TOLL-FREE NUMBER

There is a national-level toll-free number of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, on which a citizen living in any corner of the country can complain about the matter. This number is – 14555. Apart from this, different toll-free numbers have been issued according to the states. If you live in Uttar Pradesh, you can register a complaint on this number 180018004444.

If you live in Madhya Pradesh then on 18002332085, if you live in Bihar then on 104 and if you live in Uttarakhand then you can register your complaint on 155368 and 18001805368. Apart from this, all the hospital operators involved in Ayushman Bharat Yojana have been instructed to register the toll-free number of Ayushman Yojana on the board in their hospitals.

THIS IS HOW YOUR COMPLAINT IS RESOLVED

When you complain on the toll-free number of your state, then that call reaches directly the center of the capital of that state. After this, instructions are given to the concerned officer to redress the complaint. Apart from this, a committee is formed at the district level under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, which takes action after investigating the complaints.
