The event was organised by Runa Laila and her beautiful Aparupa team, whose hard work, love and dedication made the entire day so warm, well-planned and unforgettable.

The day-long event, held from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, was inaugurated by Hon’ble MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi. Graced by Bollywood celebrity Anita Raj, the evening honoured remarkable women for their excellence, strength and determination.

The most emotional moment of the day was the Fighting Cancer, Spreading Hope segment. Cancer survivors and patients currently undergoing treatment were felicitated on stage and each was given Rs. 10,000 by Aparupa as a gesture of support and love. Their smiles, their stories of fighting back, and their courage moved the entire hall to tears and applause.

One of the most inspiring presences of the day was Runa Laila herself. She is herself a cancer survivor and a very enthusiastic woman whose energy, positivity and smile lit up the whole stage. Her journey gave strength to every survivor and patient present, proving that life after cancer can be full of hope, courage and joy.

In a major step for women’s health in Assam, the Aparupa Swastha Nari Project was officially launched at the event. Medanta and Neotia Bhagirathi were the official health partners for the project, joining hands with Aparupa to work for early detection, awareness and better healthcare for women.

Many famous faces from the Assamese film industry were present to encourage the awardees and survivors, making the occasion even more special. The hall was filled with music, emotion, respect and hope.

It was truly a lovely experience for everyone present – a day where women were not just awarded, but embraced, empowered and celebrated.
