Annapurna has revolutionized hostel meals by supplying hygienic, home-style meals to students living on campus. This allows students who have moved away from their homes to be assured of healthy, tasty, and hot food without needing to prepare their own meals or go out for meals every day.
All Annapurna meals are crafted to the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Meals are cooked in freshly made FSSAI-certified kitchens with ingredients that are cleaned before cooking for maximum hygiene on all fronts. Each meal comprises a complete thali, which provides two vegetable options, dal, rice, chapati, salad, and a sweet, ensuring optimal taste and nutrition. Students will also be able to refill their meals to ensure that nobody is left hungry. There is an ample quantity, and all options are alternated regularly to keep them interesting and nutritious.
“Annapurna is not just a meal ticket but a feeling that allows all students to stay connected to the warmth of home,” said Kunwar Gaurav Giri, Chairperson, Annapurna Hostel. “We are trying our best, and we aim to make sure that no student has to feel the absence of homemade food, no matter how far away, in kilometers, they are from home.”
With a growing number of happy students and thank-you letters from parents, Annapurna is changing the landscape of what hostel food can be. Annapurna’s initiative is an example of how student welfare and student nutrition can coexist, leveraging contemporary mechanistic delivery with the emphasis on warmth and hospitality found in traditional hospitality’s caring.
