- 10 Years and Still Soaring: Seerat Kapoor’s Debut Film Run Raja Run, Bags The Best Film Of 2014 By The Telangana Government At The Prestigious State Gaddar Awards.
Tollywood actress Seerat Kapoor is celebrating a proud and emotional moment as her debut film Run Raja Run has been awarded Best Feature Film of 2014 at the prestigious Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. The awards, instituted by the Telangana Government in 2024, were established to honor cinematic excellence in Telugu cinema and is named after the legendary revolutionary poet Gaddar.
In a special announcement covering films released between 2014 and 2023, Run Raja Run emerged as the 1st Best Feature Film awardee. Directed by Sujeeth, this romantic comedy hit theatres in 2014. Tollywood queen Seerat Kapoor made her sparkling debut in the Telugu film industry with this film alongside the Charming Star Sharwanand.

The award was presented by the government of Telangana and honourable chief minister Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy to the team on June 14th at HICC, Hyderabad. Seerat as always, looked breathtakingly beautiful at the event; she donned a beautiful Golden tissue saree which had intricate details, paired along with a off white handcrafted full sleeves blouse. Seerat looked like a godess beauty. For the night of the awards she kept her makeup minimal with long lashes, a winged liner, nude tones of eyeshadow, a perfect blush and glossy lips. She tied her hair in a messy wavy bun. Indeed Seerat Kapoor looked picture- perfect making a dazzling appearance for the event.

Reacting to this recognition nearly a decade after its release, Seerat Kapoor expressed her heartfelt gratitude. She says, ” Telangana Gaddar Film Awards felt like divine intervention for recognising Run Raja Run as the 1st Best Film of the year 2014, a decade since its release. This film is where my journey began and is immensely close to my heart. I would like to extend my gratitude and thank the Government of Telangana and our honourable Chief minister Sri Anumula Revnath Reddy Garu for this honour. Since the announcement, fans have flooded social media, requesting a re-release of Run Raja Run in the theatres, to relive the film’s charm and nostalgia on the big screen.
The film, directed by Sujeeth, remains one of the most-loved romantic dramas in Telugu cinema, known for its fresh storytelling, engaging performances and out of the box music scores by Ghibran.
