  3. Loan Facility: Families can avail of loans for residential rooftop solar systems up to 3 kW at a low interest rate without any guarantee, currently around 7 percent.
  4. Subsidy Application: The application process involves several steps:
    • Register on the portal and provide necessary details.
    • Apply for rooftop solar installation.
    • Install the solar unit from a registered vendor.
    • Apply for a net meter after installation.
    • Receive a commissioning certificate after inspection by the distribution company.
    • Submit bank account details for subsidy disbursement, which occurs within 30 days.

  • Families can save significantly on electricity bills and even earn additional income by selling surplus electricity to Discoms.
