Bhubaneswar, September 30, 2025: Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director of Wockhardt Limited, CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, and Founder of the I AM PEACEKEEPER Movement, has been conferred with the Honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt. – Honoris Causa) by KIIT Deemed to be University. The honour was presented during the institution’s 21st Convocation Ceremony in Bhubaneswar, acknowledging his outstanding contributions to healthcare access, social service, and peace-building.

The convocation, held on September 26, 2025, at the KIIT University campus, brought together eminent dignitaries, academicians, and graduating students. Nobel Laureate Prof. Mohan Munasinghe graced the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside Mr. Ashok Kumar Parija, Chancellor of KIIT University, Prof. N.L. Mitra, Professor Emeritus and Former Chancellor, and Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor.

Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala is a multifaceted leader—entrepreneur, humanitarian, and peace advocate. In his capacity as Executive Director of Wockhardt Ltd. and CEO of Wockhardt Foundation, he has driven impactful social initiatives in healthcare, education, and sanitation.
One of the Foundation’s landmark programs, Mobile 1000, has delivered free primary healthcare services to over 40 million underprivileged people in rural India over the last 12 years. This large-scale outreach has earned national and international recognition for its innovation and tangible impact.
