Rajasthani Traditions Come Alive: Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri – Beendani Cast Immerses in Jaipur’s Culture

Before a story touches the hearts of viewers, it must first resonate deeply with the artists who bring it to life. That’s exactly what unfolded when the cast of Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani—Akash Jagga, Gauri Shelgaonkar, and Monika Khanna—visited the cultural capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Their immersive journey through the Pink City was more than just a promotional tour; it became an emotional, enlightening experience as they connected with the roots of the story they are set to tell.

A Story Rooted in Rajasthan

Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani follows the tale of Ghevar, a spirited village girl raised lovingly by her elder brother and sister-in-law. When fate places a newborn child in their lives—one that bridges two very different worlds—Ghevar finds herself at the heart of a powerful narrative filled with secrets, sacrifices, and a woman’s unyielding strength.

Gauri Shelgaonkar on Portraying Ghevar

Gauri Shelgaonkar, who essays the lead role of Ghevar, found herself deeply moved during the visit.

“This was my first time in Rajasthan, and I feel incredibly fortunate that the show brought me here. Meeting real-life Beendanis and hearing their stories gave me goosebumps. They live the life I portray—it gave me a whole new perspective. I now carry their resilience and spirit into my performance. Visiting Jaipur has been a personal and professional turning point for me.”

Akash Jagga Brings Jaipur to Life

For Akash Jagga, who plays Kundan, the trip was a homecoming.

“Jaipur is my hometown, and revisiting it with my co-actors was truly special. I got to show them hidden gems, street food, and the city’s heart beyond the tourist spots. Watching them fall in love with my city made me so proud. That blend of nostalgia and cultural pride added a new layer to our connection as a cast.”

Monika Khanna Finds Deeper Connection with Her Role

Monika Khanna, portraying Ramkudi, shared her joy at returning to Jaipur.

“Though I’ve been to Jaipur before, this visit was unique because it was tied to our show. Being in the city helped me understand its culture and language more intimately. And having Akash as our local guide was the cherry on top! It made the experience both educational and unforgettable.”

A Journey Beyond Acting

From authentic Rajasthani cuisine to heartfelt conversations with local women, the Jaipur visit was a cultural immersion that enriched the cast’s understanding of their characters and the essence of Beendani. The bond they formed with the city and its people promises to reflect in every frame of the show.
