New Delhi, 21 November 2024: 251 Kundiya Maha Yagya, organized under the guidance of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar Shantikunj Haridwar in Dwarka Sector 8, featured a unique Havan performance. Considering Delhi’s pollution levels and supporting administrative efforts to combat pollution, symbolic Havan was performed by lighting lamps in 251 Havan Kunds.
On this occasion, attendees were urged to prioritize environmental consciousness. The event highlighted environmental dangers and encouraged tree planting. Traditionally, Yagya involves igniting special woods for societal welfare, but this time, Gayatri Vishwa Parivar opted for symbolic oblations using lamp lighting to minimize environmental impact.
Dwarka resident Shri A M Kumar stated, “Given Delhi’s alarming pollution levels, we’re performing the yagna with lamp lighting only, ensuring zero pollution and allowing devotees to fulfill their rituals and karma with devotion.”
Alok Dwivedi, a member of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar (NCR), added, “Our organization aims to uplift all. Supporting local administration efforts, we’re performing symbolic yagna to promote environmental responsibility.”
The Maha Yagna includes free rites for all classes and communities. A large turnout is expected from NCR and nearby states. The event is guided by revered leaders Dr. Pranav Pandya Ji and Shail Didi. On November 23, Dr. Chinmay Pandya Ji will deliver a special address.
